My works depict structure and its continual reworking. Whether through accumulation or subtraction–repair or decay–the present world is a consequence of seemingly opposing forces continually forming what is. Both processes, whether ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ are constructive; moreover falling apart somewhere means coming together elsewhere. The building and demolition that I see every day is to me a direct metaphor for how individuals develop as we progress through life, and how communities regenerate in the wake of change.

I primarily work with printed materials such as screen prints, etchings, lithographs, and relief prints, but I also utilize drafting film, isometric graph paper, and Tyvek to build my compositions. Furthermore, I create a push-and-pull relationship between positive and negative shapes in my work that produce depth, layering, and a sense of space.
